A power of attorney is a document that gives another person the right to act on your behalf – for example, in situations where you cannot contact us or manage your information yourself. We need a power of attorney before we can talk to someone else about your account and your financial matters. It's all about protecting your personal information according to bank secracy requirements and the GDPR.
When you give someone this authorisation, you should monitor its use by checking your account and reading the communication from the Bank regularly.
We are not allowed to share information with others without your permission – a power of attorney ensures that this is done safely and legally.
How can you give permission?
You can give another person authorisation to another person to act on your behalf by giving that person a power of attorney. For the bank to know that you truly intended to give the authorisation and have given it freely any knowingly, you should complete the power of attorney form which you can find here: Download the form
Once you have completed the form and it is signed accordingly you may upload the power of attorney here: Upload document
